(Senior) Data Engineer (f/m/d)

Your mission
We are hiring a Data Engineer for our Data team. You will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing data-gathering methods. You will apply and extend your experience in data analysis to report back on your findings and suggest solutions.

At the end of the day, we want to ensure we build the best e-commerce solution in the photography market.
The GotPhoto SaaS platform helps school photographers streamline their workflow and ensure that they can easily manage large photo shoots and print amazing products their customers want. GotPhoto is a profitable startup that has been around since 2010.

Your role

This role is available out of Berlin with the option to go to the office or a fully remote position based in either Germany, Spain, Portugal, or the Netherlands.

We support full visa sponsorship and relocation to Germany, Berlin.

The Data team is a newly established team with our organization and currently consists of Ahmed as our Head of Data and Moe as our BI and will grow to 5 team members overall. You will be reporting to Ahmed.

Your main stakeholders: You will work with Product, QA, Engineers, and other Business stakeholders.

You will be working on:

  • Analyze business requirements for analytics with various business stakeholders and collaborate with our BI analysts to find the best data source for their business needs

  • Integrate data from multiple sources into our data warehouse or data marts

  • Design data models that support business analytics in the best way

  • Develop ETL Pipelines

Skills we are looking for

  • Very good knowledge of general business intelligence, data warehouse, data modeling, and data structures (ETL/ELT, Snowflake, AWS, Airbyte)

  • Very profound working experience with SQL and Phyton

  • You have a university degree in statistics, mathematics, or engineering

  • You speak very good English, so communication in our international environment is no problem for you

  • You have a collaborative mindset
