JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a data manager working with us on the challenges and questions we facing as a global, data driven biopharma company within R&D with regards to scientific data storage, curation, management and reporting.
Task description
- Support of scientific applications and platforms for data analysis and management for R&D (including images, bioassay, pharmacology)
- Collaborative review and evaluate IT architectures and manage the adaptations into AbbVie system environments
- Develop strategic needs analysis in collaboration with all local and global stakeholders and support implementing new innovative system and concepts
- Seize opportunities to pursue relevant leads that are in line with the group’s strategy
- Proactively seek out new information and technologies in the literature/public domain and incorporate into individual project(s) as well as the overall program
- Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies related to the storage, transfer, integration, visualization, and analysis of large and complex data sets. Broad expertise in software development and data warehousing
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, and data security
YOUR PROFILE
- BS or MS in a science field with profound IT skills or Information technology with practical experience in the Data Management
- Familiarity with biology areas (e.g. neurology, oncology or immunology) preferred
- Multi-year practical experience (3 years) in information technology, Pharma R&D or similar area and in use of data science and management tools and systems and so possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of own discipline
- Proven implementation of creative technology data management solutions and applications that advanced the business
- High ability to work independently, defining action plans, both at the tactical and strategic level
- Desire to work in a global, US-headquartered, cross-functional environment
- Knowledge in Oracle, PL/SQL, Python are beneficial
