You will

  • be a foundational and fundamental part of one of the largest AI initiatives in Europe
  • develop, deploy and maintain open-source AI scientific software to solve concrete research questions
  • continuously learn about state-of-the-art and emerging AI methods and their applications
  • network with IT and HPC experts and within the Helmholtz AI initiative

You have

  • a master or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, bioinformatics or another field related to data science
  • a strong interest in computing infrastructures, combined with a track record in applied AI and machine learning pipelines
  • experience implementing deep learning projects, and developing production-quality software in object-oriented programming with Python
  • a systematic way of working, preferably with experience in multidisciplinary projects
  • an open and curious mindset with a strong team spirit
